Sikh Memorial in Castle Park, Bristol

Spent late afternoon with RobBris50, which turned into something of a RemainFest on what was meant to be one of the days we were to leave the EU.

I was delighted to find that the Sikh community has been honoured, and its members commemorated in this memorial, whose unveiling was quite well publicised by the local press. I am pleased that non-British people are now finally getting credit for landmarks moments in British history, which is not just owned by those of British descent, but all those who have made a contribution to these islands. No one group owns this history, we all do.
