WHAITE-FACED HERON (Ardea novaehollandiae)

Another Self introduced bird from the 1940's they are now the most abundant Heron in New Zealand. This is an old friend from the Pleasant Point side of the Estuary.  He and his mate seem to be always around there. They are friendly as there is a pathway there and they are well used to people coming and going.  Rgds IK
