Australasian Coot chick

A quiet day, largely spent tidying the study. It has been waiting for me to do so since the Tsuken children used it for sleeping in January.

Late afternoon, and I went to Western Springs with my Pentax. The light as almost perfect, and I had a nice brisk walk as the temperature slowly fell along with the sun going down.

The young Australasian Coot I have blipped jumped on to this rock and then called plaintively until  a parent called in response when it leapt into the water and swam over to be fed.
