The Lozarithm Lens

The Old Forge (Saturday 13th April 2019)

This afternoon a selection of close-up lenses that screw onto my Panasonic LX100 were delivered, so I ventured into the garden to practice. My eye had been on these forget-me-nots that have self-seeded at the top of the driveway for awhile, so using a +2 lens I attempted a few shots.

I had an audience while I was doing this that was too large for the close-up lens but later, after I had removed it, I captured him sprawling on the path between the front yard and the small pond (see Extra), his first appearance this month

Lozarhythm Of The Day:
Elmore James, the King of the Slide Guitar - Dust My Broom (recorded November 1959, Chicago IL, for Fire)
I have posted four or five Elmore James records here, but not his signature tune, Robert Johnson's Dust My Blues, also known as Dust My Broom or I Believe My Time Ain't Long. It was Elmore James' first single in 1951 and he recorded it for various labels between then and 1961, this being probably the best known version.
