Pink Fir Apple

I was up and out by 8.45 to make the most of a window of opportunity.

As usual at this time of yet, it doesn't take much to go from feeling way behind to catching up, and today the rest of the netting etc was disassembled, some potatoes planted (Red Duke of York, Pink Fir Apple), and some general mooching and tidying done until the two cyclists arrived.

Perhaps because of some sensitivity relating to the proximity to the crematorium (the only explanation I can think of), fires can only be lit after 6 or on Sundays.  This fire looks nice, but because I was burning brassica plants it more or less smelt like farts, as I now do too.
