The chippies are enjoying the spring weather. We could do without the herring flies! We know spring is here when the herring begin running the local rivers and along with them come the dreaded herring flies. They forced me inside after taking these shots.

Tomorrow is the 123rd running of the Boston Marathon. Over 300,00 runners will be taking the course in warm weather, unlike the cold headwinds of last year, but with rain and predicted thundershowers. We'll be cheering for one special Canadian runner, Paula Banks. She and her husband and the two blond bombshell labs have reached Massachusetts and are gearing up for the start. We will be meeting Paula and husband for dinner in the North End, along with and arranged by our friends, DDW and Mr. W.

For the Record,
This day came in warm and sunny with a bit of humidity and swarms of herring flies.

All hands happy about everything but the flies!
