Old Medical Quad

This morning I read that the Old Medical Quad is to be resurfaced and the ugly concrete base removed. Here's a blip of a photo taken at the time the Quad was first built between 1877 and 1884. The winning design for the School was produced by Robert Rowand Anderson.

I think it would be so nice if the quad could be grassed over (as at Old College) or turned into a garden, but I guess there is too high a demand for parking.

On holiday now till 3rd January. Yay!
