Start of the prickly season.

The first of several blips to come no doubt.

This is Rebutia aylostera. They come from Bolivia and Argentina.
They are good flowerers and easy to grow.
This has been on the utility room windowsill all winter. A tiny drop of water once a month. Just enough to stop it shrinking but not enough to start it into growth.
Then two weeks ago I gave it a little more and this is the result. It will flower for most of the summer.
