Between fen and mountains

Clouds clearing

I went for a walk this morning above Olette and back via the village of Oreilla which had the highest percentage loss of life in the First World War losing 18 villagers, 13% of the whole population.  The weather had been predicted to be clear, warm and sunny but low cloud rolled in.  Tomorrow a quarter peal will be rung to show solidarity with French people lamenting the loss of much of Notre Dame cathedral. This is happening across the UK so we felt we should join in.  The village has been notified of what we are doing.
