Just Two Bohemians.

Last day of being 17...
Bethan and I spent the day in Manchester taking photos, shopping (an 18th present from B), creating new hairstyles, fantasising over the arty randoms in Afflecks Palace, catching up on lost time, doing some kiddish last-day-of-childhood-must-dos and Bethan had her caricature drawn in Afflecks by the amazing Catalin Ardeleanu, who turned out to be the best company as well as a brilliant artist, totally getting every random thing Bethan said, from imaginary friends to sign conversations, taking the mickey out of the British to the obsession over her feather earrings. It turns out Bethan was the first person Cat has drawn at Afflecks in the flesh, which made her even more grateful that I'd reminded her throughout the day that she wanted her portrait drawn, and encouraged the thought every time she doubted the idea (usually when she'd seen an item of clothing she could have bought instead..).
Some of the childish things we managed to do were; eat a Happy Meal, have softish buttered toast and squash for breakfast, eat popping candy, have a 'how many grapes can you fit in your mouth and still manage to say "Grapy Wurpries"' competition (I won 14-8), ride on the top floor and at the front of a double decker bus, and sing 'Wheels On The Bus' on the bus...
The day was fun, and it was bohemian. The way we like it ;)
