Waddesdon Manor

Travelling south we broke our journey at Waddesdon Manor. Apart from a short pause on the M1 for an emergency repair to the motorway we had a trouble free journey.

This was built in the 1870’s for Baron Ferdinand de Rothschild. It was like entering a different world with incredibly opulent decoration and furnishings.

Now settling in and preparing for a sprint round Aldershot barracks tomorrow
