corella breakaway

As the weeks proceed, the giant flocks of corellas that have laid siege to towns and settlements around here are gradually whittling down. Probably food sources have been reduced by their vast numbers, and their presence has tested the locals so that bird scaring gunshots ring out intermittently. So that forces some in the flocks to go elsewhere. The flocks came and went within a few minutes last time and their screeching faded out over the trees and paddocks.
Blessed rural quietude reigned. Until someone started up some machinery down the road.
