Serendipity

Cool!

One of the cooling towers at Ratcliffe Power Station, which is unmissable from the train when it stops at East Midlands Parkway. I don't think it generates any more, definitely no plumes of steam in evidence today.

In the extra is a view from Sileby Station platform from where I caught the train today, I like how the exit ramp plunges under the tracks.

I wasn't travelling far, just up the road to collect a book from Waterstones in Nottingham that I'd reserved. Funnily enough all about the railways, it is called Parallel Lines by Ian Marchant.
