No Frame Without Grain

New Theatre

My first film photograph in 'Medium format' with a swine of a camera to use, borrowed from RobBris50.

The photograph is the front entrance to The New Theatre, Cardiff.

An interesting fact of how Cardiff City FC got its nickname 'The Bluebirds' stems from a play 'The Bluebird of Happiness' by Belgian writer Maurice Maeterlinck. It had proved hugely popular and was performed at Cardiff’s New Theatre in October 1911 to rave reviews.

It is believed a Cardiff supporter caught up in the hype christened his club with the name in their new blue strip.
