Nearly set the house on fire.

I put frozen chicken breasts in the microwave to defrost. There was a metal thing in it that burst into flames. Took me a while to notice. On the package was a warning about washing poultry- no mention of microwave.

I have a reputation for burning the food but usually I cook it first.
