Return to the North

Finally a decent shot

Headed out this afternoon for a walk in the local nature reserve. Had bagged a lovely shot pf a speckled wood so wasn't really expecting to drop lucky elsewhere in the reserve. We headed to ness hide and it was jam packed, we assumed because of Easter hols. However on checking Twitter we found that a rare red dumped (or something) swallow had been spotted so maybe the visitors were there for that. Anyway we moved on pretty quickly. As we walked on we heard the bittern boom although he didn't show for us. We then headed to a hide I rarely visit and within a few minute this marsh harrier and its pal decided to display for us :-)
