Bridge Street - Bishop's Stortford

Many thanks everyone for your birthday wishes for Oliver. I had not realised when I made the cake that it was very similar to the one I made last year. However there is quite a noticeable difference in Oliver's appearance from last year to this year; blip is very good for comparing things.

Today we went to Bishop's Stortford in the rain, it took forty-five minutes instead of about twenty as the road was flooded in two places and the traffic had built up to a considerable queue.

We did not stay long; I did not need to buy any food as the Waitrose lorry is delivering tonight. I shall go out very early with our daughter on Saturday for the last bits and pieces of food before going, on the train, to Cambridge with Oliver.

Today's picture is of two shops and is part of my Bishop's Stortford, One Street, project. These two shops were out of sight on the first picture, but are on the left-hand side of the road, this time you can see the crossing which is where the first picture was taken. The weather is very different today too, very wet, where it was dry and sunny in the earlier picture.
