Mount Grace Garden

We decided to visit Mount Grace Priory this morning. As it is close to where we live we thought we could cope with any extra bank holiday traffic. We drove home via Osmotherly and the Cleveland Hills where there were many cars parked on the road (clearly marked as no parking with threats of fines). The police could have had a field day if ony there were enough of them to patrol the route.

We haven't been to Mount Grace for well over 12 years since when there have been several changes. The biggest change being to the garden in front of the manor house which was redesigned by Chris Beardshaw and planted in the Arts & Crafts style during the winter of 2017/18. This shows the view up to the house from the bottom of the garden. There is a photo of the Priory ruins in extras and also a Pasque Flower which I couldn't resist as it is Holy Saturday today.

As we were walking back to the car park I heard my name called, turned around and saw that it was Wendy (aka Viewpoint). She and Ann were having lunch in the café before continuing back home after their stay on the North York Moors.
