Henry Moore

To Perry Green today, and the Henry Moore Studios and Gardens.  We visited a few years ago but they have since built a lovely new visitor centre to replace the tiny cottage that previously served the purpose.  Lots of Moore's sculptures on display around the extensive gardens and it was a glorious hot day to be viewing them.  My main picture is of "Large Reclining Figure; Bronze, 1984" which is well situated at the far side of the sheep's field so forms an imposing silhouette, whilst I've added an extra which is one of my favourites; "Draped Reclining Mother and Baby; Bronze,1983".  Before visiting we had lunch in the Hoops Inn next door, sitting out in the garden.  An excellent day!
