Bluegrass in Alohaland

What a fun evening! A great band, the Saloon Pilots, playing at a local restaurant. It was fantastic to hear some good music. The violinist is Laurie's teacher, which is how we got to know of them. 

For the rest, a walk along the beach, reading my book on the beach after lunch (Carlo Rovelli, Reality isn't what it seems) and lots of questioning about whether to request an extension on our visas or not ... ??? I realize that my discomfort with this uncertainty has more to do with Luca (when will I see him? what does an extension mean for his trip to Italy?) than with me. A mother is never quite an individual!
