Blue Sunday

Yesterday our beloved Ilkley Moor had a really bad fire, everything was so dry it spread rapidly and emergency services worked all night to dampen the flames.
Twenty four hours later it is still smouldering.
Rumour has it that some teenagers lit a campfire.
Cannot begin to imagine the wildlife and vegetation that has been destroyed.

Another sunny day and another lovely walk with Elaine around the local fields.
Back home we sat outside for coffee.
Mr P and Elaine both had a read under the veranda while l did a bit of pruning and general tidying of the garden,
We had booked a table at the local pub for lunch mid afternoon and it was delicious, washed down with a shandy.
After that we have just had a bit of a mooch.

This evening we drove over to the woods in Ilkley hoping that most of the day visitors would have left so we could see the bluebells, we were not disappointed.
