Pasque Flower

This spell of warm, sunny weather has breathed new life into my clumps of Pasque flowers ..... I thought most of the flowers were dying back but on closer inspection there are one or two buds just opening up to the sun.

The name is derived from the Hebrew word for Passover, 'pasakah' and refers to the Easter flowering period. The scientific name is Pulsatilla but I prefer Pasque Flower ..... what better name for Easter Sunday.
