Thank goodness the Ilkley moor fire seems to be more or less under control. Must have been a heroic job by the fire teams. Just an atmospheric pall of smoke remaining...which must have been terrible down in the valley. Up on Denton moor it was glorious in the hot sunshine as ravens, kites and buzzards swirled and whirled overhead driving the curlews to distraction.
