Happy no daffs Easter

Another glorious day. Stared with a 7:30am service in the garden at church. 30 years ago it used to be at dawn. Now a fixed time. Followed by breakfast with bacon rolls [vegetarian option available!).

At the 9:30 service the ceremony of the daffodils - where the cross is filled with daffy - had to be converted into the ceremony of the flowers as there are now few daffodils in the shops. Very colourful.

Made a start to n tackling the undergrowth on the west side of the garden. Brambles, rambling rose, dead leaves, snails, empty pots and so on. Also cleaned out the greenhouse and potted up countless seedlings.

The busy but restful day had the tension increased with Line of Duty. I know we are being played, but I can’t work out precisely how!, Which is the “fun” of it.
