It's Grosbeak Time!

A male Blue Grosbeak helping to tidy up under the feeders this morning. In today's *extras...Rose-breasted Grosbeak mature male and an immature male, perhaps a mature male going through a molt (apparently traveling together). Blue Grosbeaks are somewhat common here in North Central Florida during breeding season. Rose-breasted Grosbeaks are uncommon and probably on their migration. Females of both of these are the usual rather unspectacular brown hue, Blues being a warmer shade of brown and Rose-breasteds are dark brown above and striped below, both have the typical heavy 'Grosbeak' bill. I'd love to see a few females traveling with these guys. If I do, I'll share them with you. :)
