Collage 17

Here is collage 17. It once again features a picture of Venice in the background as well as an Italian postage stamp. The focal image comes from the painting The Virgin in Prayer by Giovanni Battista Salvi da Sassoferrato. 

All the weekly collages for my #52collages2019 are done in a 5 x 8" Moleskine journal.  As you can see by the date stamp on this one I'm working them in advance of time whenever I get the urge to do one, so they don't necessarily reflect the mood in the present moment. And to be truthful with many of them even I have no idea what they mean. They are simply a composition with elements that to my mind want to go together.
