The Lozarithm Lens

Caen Hill (Tuesday 23rd April 2019)

It has been three weeks since I'd checked in to see how the Caen Hill swans were getting on at Lock 41 and longer than that since I had blipped them, but I'm pleased to report that I found both of them at the nest site. I looked for the other pair at Lock 35 but, as I suspected from my last visit, the nest looks empty and abandoned and there was no sign of the swans.

I found these marsh marigolds (or perhaps for Blippers I should use the name Molly-blobs)(Caltha palustris) at the back of one of the side pounds and thought them suitable for the Wild Flower Week challenge. I also saw two grey herons and caught a shot of one of them.

With thanks to Miranda1008 for hosting this inspiring challenge.
