ANZAC Day

A glorious autumn morning for the ceremonies.  After waving the son goodbye I caught the Richmond service at the war memorial in the town.  The extra is to show the sunshine filtered through the leaves.  These scouts had laid a wreath they had made themselves.
I laid my poppy for the victims in Sri Lanka.  It is so soon after Christchurch and so many people are impacted.  In the past I have taught the most delightful, kind and peace loving Sri Lankan children who came with their parents to live in New Zealand.
