Money for Old Rope

Today's blip features a photo exploring 'texture'.
B and I spent the day exploring an area of the coast that is still relatively new to us.  We went to the quayside in Thornham where I saw this attractive 'mop head' end of some old rope.  Then we headed off to Titchwell RSPB reserve and wandered through the reserve to the beach (see extra, there is a birdwatcher somewhere in the picture).  The tide was further out than I had seen it before and it had exposed an area of fallen trees which had become a home for mussels and other crustaceans so I spent a happy ten minutes in the damp sand photographing some of them.  They make excellent eating apparently.
