Staithes

Sandy Toes and Salty Kisses love from Staithes, a quote I saw in a shop.
The forecast today was for cloud and showers so we decided to take to the road and travel north to Staines. It was raining as we parked at the top of the village, undecided whether to venture out and face the walk back up the hill soaking wet we went for it. We were wet by the time we reached the old tea room but by the time we came out the rain had stopped and the wander around the higgly piggly streets, beach and harbour wall was a real delight. The place is so picturesque, I tried to process this shot with an arty feel.
As the weather had improved substantially we moved on to Runswick Bay, a place we hadn't been before and so much like a smaller, posher Staines (the last extra).
Home tomorrow, what a shame.
