Carpe diem

Day started with launch of the Maths Week Scotland (which will take place in the autumn) at the museum. Great to see how this has evolved over the past few years. Enjoyed listening to Bobby Seagull on how maths can be fun (and he was hugely entertaining) and why it is so important in making sense of the world today. Oh and how animals use prime numbers.

Took advantage of arriving early to meander down to Meadows and see the Cherry Blossoms which were set off beautifully by the then blue sky.

Productive afternoon in office followed by our annual staff awards ceremony which is always a nice occassion.

Good day.
