What did you say?

A birthday last week, a hearing aid this week!  Yikes!  I have known my hearing has been deteriorating for a while, I got it tested three years ago and now a lot of words are muffled.  This screen shows the sounds I am losing in my left ear - the further away from the blue crosses, the less I hear the letters.

What a difference!  I am amazed how clear and sharp everything sounds. The leaves in the wind, even little waves on the shore, lots more birdsong and so much more.  It is as if instead of being in a dark room, someone has put a light on!  Surprisingly emotional.
