Hermitage visit

We had a great day out in Warkworth on Easter Sunday after Mass.
A lovely walk along the river brought us to the rowing boat ferry. A short row across (by a lovely English Heritage volunteer) took us across the river Coquet to visit the C13th hermitage. Carved out of bedrock, the tiny chapel was beautiful and fascinating. Well worth a visit!
We then ventured into the town and found a little French café where we had afternoon coffee served with a chocolate, pastry and cake.
Back to the castle where my daughter and I decided that you are never too old to take part in an Easter trail ...and won some mini eggs.
