Orcas were reported off in Hoy Sound so I headed off there. By the time I got to Ness Point the big and little ferries were crossing paths and probably not where orcas would hang about. I walked north along the shore, the tide was low and the high wind causing some nice waves. Up on Black Craig it was extremely windy, so I was glad of the weather station to shelter in for coffee-time. Birds around were- about 6 wheatear, 9 swallow, 2 bonxies.
