If the sky isn't blue enough...

invite an Indigo Bunting to your garden.

My very first sighting of this incredible bird. He was at my brother's just through the woods, earlier this week. This morning he visited us. I wish I could have gotten closer for a crisper shot, this is heavily cropped with my 300mm Nikkor lens, but it shows his intensely blue splendor.

The House Wrens are still house shopping and singing. Our first hummingbird feeder has been hung, the Ruby Throats are in Southeastern Massachusetts and could be at Dogcorner any day soon!

For the Record,
This day came in with clouds, showers and a sun, alternating after a stormy night. We have tickets to an outside(with a tent and an open barn) Tavern Night at the Stetson House tonight. It's a benefit for the Hanover Historical Society, local beer and wine, a light picnic type dinner and live musical entertainment in the barn. The old house belonged originally to Samuel Stetson, called "Drummer Stetson," who was "a somewhat noted man of his day," and his home known as a tavern stand and a famous place of resort." We went last year and had a grand time. See the Extras for shots from last year.

For the Record,
This day came in with clouds, sun and rain after a lashing rain storm last night.

All hands happy it is Saturday!

Three day count down to an upcoming blip birthday.
