St Mary's Church Thornham Parva.

We went off to visit Mum in Lowestoft, she really has settled down well in the home and has made a couple of friends. A great relief...

On our way back from Lowestoft we took a detour to visit this lovely little church. St Mary's Church is a medieval church in Thornham Parva, Suffolk. Much of the fabric dates from the 12th century, and it is a Grade I listed building. A church on the site was recorded in the Domesday Book of 1086, and there are still traces of Anglo-Saxon stonework in the present building. The interior is amazing, we'll be going back to photograph that another day...
