Goodwood Meeting

The main purpose of our wee roadtrip was to attend the Goodwood Members Meeting but it was lovely to meander our way down from Argyll via the Lake District, Wales and the Cotswolds. We've talked about the meeting so much over the years that a few of our friends wanted to join us so we organised a trip. As a group we normally meet up once or twice a year but with lots of busy schedules to satisfy it's getting harder to do.
Another fabulous race meeting, not quite as glitzy as the Goodwood Revival, but you can see form the main image that there is still a big effort from everyone to keep things period correct.

First two images are from the Gurney cup, so lots of McLarens, Ford GT40's and prototypes. Winning car was a Crossle Oldsmobile. Second extra is of some of the NASCARs which were demonstrating. Definitely not built for going round corners easily!
