Pickmere Radio Telescope

We went out with our walking group today and passed Pickmere Radio telescope. This is part of the MERLIN array of  seven radio telescopes co-ordinated from Jodrell Bank. Together they form one powerful telescope with an effective aperture of over 217 kilometres.
