Back at last

I was discharged from hospital this evening, the second time in a few weeks but hopefully the last.
You pass this statue of Sister Dora on your way out, so decided it would make a good blip.  Dorothy Pattison was an Anglican nun and nurse in Walsall.  She became a heroine to local people after her work with the injured following industrial accidents. and a smallpox outbreak in 1875.
The Cottage Hospital was renamed the Walsall General (Sister Dora) Hospital in her honour. In 1886 a statue was unveiled in the town centre.
I am not sure whether this is the original statue refurbished, or a later copy., but it has pride of place in the Walsall Manor Hospital.
