Stavanger

We arrived in Stavanger early in the morning.
The sun was shining, the skies were clear blue and the sea was like a millpond. What a great way to see Norway for the first time.

Stavanger is Norway's third largest city, its main industry being oil related. There are so many islands which are connected by bridges or ferries. Even the industrial port looked pretty in the early sun, including the brightly coloured ships (see extra).

We enjoyed a wander around this city seeing the cathedral, climbed the Fire Tower which gave great views, as well as wandering along the pretty streets. As it was Easter Monday, all the shops were shut which made the place very quiet and pleasant.

It was too warm for coats, found free wifi in Starbucks and had a fab day :)

Back on board the ship, we enjoyed playing deck shuffleboard, eating, reading, snoozing and watched Men In Black in the open air Seascape cinema on the top deck in the evening under cosy warm blankets :)

Back blipped this on 28th April.
