London 2012 - Blip 11 - Murderball & Athletics

My last day at the Games, and so my final London 2012 Blip.

I'd tickets for Murderball (Wheelchair Rugby) in the morning, and athletics in the evening.

Fast and furious Wheelchair Rugby was great fun - two matches to enjoy inside today's Blip, the Basketball Arena.

Then an afternoon is glorious sunshine watching TeamGB have a not so glorious Murderball match on the BA Park Live huge screen.

Time for some food, then into the Stadium for my final event. Athletics. Lots of Paralympic athletes, who by this time had become household names to watch compete, such as Mickey Bushell and Richard Whitehead. Josie Pearson received her discuss Gold, so another chance to belt out the National Anthem.

And, after the disappointment of not seeing him run in the Olympics, Oscar Pistorius ran in the T44 400m heats, as did his new rival for Rio, Alan Oliveira.

For me, it had been a fantastic month and a bit of sport and atmosphere - thank you, London 2012
