The day dawned quite misty and very cloudy so I got on with some knitting.  DiL has already put in requests for Louie so I need to crack on. After lunch the sun appeared so off we went to the Woodland Park where I unsuccessfully stalked many Orange Tips but not one of them obliged with even a brief stop. Several Speckled Woods and Peacocks threw themselves at my feet to be blipped and then I spotted the Comma. Did you know the larvae look like bird droppings and the Comma's real name is Polygonia c-album? I did not until I discovered these facts on the Butterfly Conservation site.
