I nipped down Halifax to do some shopping at lunchtime and made the obligatory stop at the Piece Hall.

Last week, the Zara production featured on national television. Yesterday the (recorded) BBC Antiques Roadshow programme was from the Piece Hall and next Sunday stage 4 of the Tour de Yorkshire cycle race will depart from the stunning courtyard.

In preparation for the TDY the town is looking good with blue and yellow bunting, giant cycle decorations and floral arrangements.
