Fincollie

A morning walk by the river Whiteadder was very pleasant in the spring sunshine. Fin flushed a few pheasants who squawked their annoyance at him, but I did see a roe deer then the goshawk. In fact not one goshawk but a pair flying close by and just above the trees!  At the start of the walk I came across this beautiful small clump of flowers. Pale purple/lilac petals with strong glossy green leaves, I have no idea what it is. I've not noticed it before and there was only the one clump high up from the river bank and set amongst masses of lungwort plants and old bracken. It looked very like ramsons but no obvious garlic smell. Any one any idea?
