Mural

A beautiful mural that was painted by one of our students a couple of years ago.

She researched her own whakapapa (family history) and put ideas and understandings from that into her mural - it signifies the sharing of breath. Originally she intended to include moko (traditional facial tattoos which also tell the story of one's whakapapa) but instead settled on the simplicity of this.

When our new whare (cultural centre) is built this mural will be mounted on one of the walls.
