INTO THE SWISS ALPS....

... and onto Lucerne.

What a sight - we hit the "high road" so to speak, and marvelled at every corner at the majestic alps capped in snow. The freeway systems here are superb, and some of the many many klms of tunnels are a feat of engineering. The extra shows an entrance to one today 4.4 klms long.

We stopped along the way for breakfast and found an "ole Swiss house" second extra, the cafe nearby served a superb array of tucker.

On arriving in Lucerne we headed for the top of a hill overlooking the lake and main town. We then went and enjoyed the history of the Chapel bridge first built in 1333 - and even fire could not destroy it with refurbishment etc - check the link for info.

Another day of fabulous experiences with the family.

Enjoy and have a look in LARGE and the third pano showing across the river to part of this wonderful Swiss city.
