Tribute to the pig

A meter-high pig keeps watching for Maastricht Central.
The artwork "Ode aan het Varken" (A tribute to the pig) has been traveling around in the Netherlands since last February. It is an idea of the Party for the Animals.
The leaping pig demands attention for animal welfare in the livestock industry and the influence it has on our environment, nature and public health.
Mid-May Miss Piggy leaves for the next city.

Thanks to Dutchdelight also made a blip the day before of Miss Piggy and made me notice to this artwork. I was in Maastricht yesterday but had not seen the pig, because I was in a completely different part of the city. Today in Maastricht again and now a short looking at the artwork.
