Beautiful but bloomin’ cold in the wind and when the sun went in.
Another lovely ‘just across the fields’ walk (extra) to Rheged to meet up with a work friend who was going to a workshop at ‘The Knit and Stitch Show’. Who knew this stuff was so popular?! When I got to Stainton the overspill parking was all along the road verges as far as you could see. I had naively expected a nice, smallish group of ladies chatting over cross-stitch. No chance! We muscled our way to a table and took up residence for a few hours, chewed the fat, and I then headed back home across the fields and over the Eamont.
