Antibes

We were planning a train trip up the mountains until we saw the weather forecast...so we hopped on one to Antibes instead. It proved a good move...we arrived about midday and took a walk around the fort, unfortunately it was closed for lunch when we arrived!

Back around the marina and sea walls before wandering into town for some lunch as the mountainous rain headed for the coast. A walk through the old town and then back to the beach for a couple of hours R&R in glorious sunshine.

We decided to eat before catching a train back to Nice and ended up in Moonshine...a very quirky little place with good food and a drinks menu which tickled sirs fancy!! 9.2 miles walked, I’ll be glad to get home for a rest!

Today’s collage...one of the quirky seat cushions in Moonshine; a derelict bike securely chained...very aptly named Scrapper; my view this afternoon; Antibes marina across to the fort as we headed back to the station this evening.
