A very special community day...

Finished off with a very, very special celebration meal. A couple of talented people have been hosting supper clubs over the past few months, with an aim of opening a pop- up restaurant in their home. Their ethos is local, tasty and as much as possible what’s in season, foraged, or has been preserved (frozen, dried, pickled etc) it was an amazing menu, full of taste and delights. I’m a pescatarian, so my meal differed a little. We finished with spruce salt meringues and black currant chews made from our currants frozen last summer. So inventive and what a way to round off our celebration- community orchard, library, hall and Mull Native Woodlands.

A final special mention for the lovage straw to use with the soup - so much better than plastic!
